M&T Bank Pricing Manager (Consumer Deposit Products) - Hybrid in Bridgeport, Connecticut

Overview:

Responsible for the analytical development for multiple deposit product lines for the full M&T footprint to include the design, development, pricing recommendations, implementation, and marketing. Ensures product/services are marketable, profitable and comply with legal and regulatory requirements. This role is in our Consumer Deposit Products team. This position requires strong communication and project management skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new product/services success; recommend changes in service or marketing strategy. Recommend product pricing, understanding the cost structure.

  • Recommend product pricing and understand cost structure, as well as understand and manage product risk.

  • Responsible for all product financials, including revenue planning and product profitability.

  • Manage analytical aspects of new product implementation and existing product modification to include but not limited to the design and development of services; act in a liaison capacity with affected departments.

  • Review new developments in company markets, evaluating and recommending new services or new products, or the modification of existing services or products.

  • Build out reliable, reasonable portfolio trending and analytics, to assist in assessing current portfolio performance & profitability as well as informing forecasting assumptions.

  • Performs reporting and analysis relating to the product portfolio, as well as competitive landscape on deposit pricing approach and posture.

  • Establish marketing and customer-facing objectives; work with other bank departments, including Marketing, Performance Enablement, and Branch network, to develop effective programs to sell services/products.

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.

  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 5 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience, OR

  • In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Ability to translates key business questions into actionable insights and executive level data visualization and reporting

  • Exhibits technical acumen including but not limited to Tableau / Power BI, SQL, Excel, etc.

  • Exhibits financial acumen including but not limited to forecasting, pricing, and profitability metrics & attribution analysis

  • Familiarity with competitive and industry landscape and application to strategic approach

  • Experience with or knowledge of M&T’s product set and data environment

Location/Working Model:

This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days in-office and cannot be a fully remote position. Eligible candidates must live within commuting distance to one of our two offices below.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $85,104.04 - $141,840.07 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
